Blanche Elizabeth Hensch, age 94, of Owosso, MI passed away Saturday, December 6th, 2008 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owosso, MI on Tuesday, December 9th at 10:00 A.M., Father Phil Schweda will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Tree Cemetery in Corunna, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna, Chapel.

On Monday evening here will be an Eagles service by the Eagles Ladies Auxillary Post #851 at 6:00 P.M. and a Rosary will be prayed 7:30 P.M. Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel, Corunna, Michigan.

Blanche was born in Oakley, Michigan on April 28, 1914, the daughter of Joe Reiber and Lillian (Grinnelwald) Hensch. She attended Chesaning Schools. She married Albert Hensch on March 11, 1937 in Chesaning. Blanche worked for Redmonds as a floor supervisor for many years. She was an avid bowler in Chesaning and Owosso for over sixty years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat Molly.

She resided most of her life in Chesaning, St. Helen and Owosso. Blanche was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxillary Post 851 of Owosso and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by two granddaughters Victoria and Lindsay Schlaud of Columbiaville, MI. Barbara and Paul Walker of Vassar, MI; two grandsons Walter and Judy Brockway of Owosso, Alan and Julie Brockway of North Carolina; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one son-in-law; George Brockway of Corunna, Michigan, four sisters Francis Kukulis, Edith and Ted Turnwalt, Agnes Klein, Esther Buxman; four brothers George Reiber, Howard and Myra Reiber, Joseph Reiber, Frank and Sally Reiber.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Albert in 1986, one daughter Angie Brockway in 1998, three brothers, Ed Reiber, Fred Reiber, Jack Reiber, and one sister Carol Toma.
