Bobby Taylor

Bobby Howard Taylor, age 73, of Corunna, MI passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at First Free Methodist Church, Owosso, MI on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Mark Kincaid will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2011 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI and on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at First Free Methodist Church from 10 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Bobby was born in Anawalt, West Virginia on September 12, 1937, the son of Charlie and Gertie May Taylor Steelman. He resided most of his life in the Corunna and Owosso area.

Bobby married Shirley Shepard on January 11, 1958 in Owosso. She passed away on May 4, 2008. Bobby retired from A/O Smith of Owosso. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed listening to bluegrass, country and gospel music. Bobby faithfully attended the First Free Methodist Church and loved going to the Jamborees. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.

Bobby is survived by his 2 daughters; Denise Lynn Taylor & Patrick Tkaczyk of Owosso, MI, Lisa and Joseph Hickey of Corunna, MI, 4 grandchildren; Michael Kirby of Owosso, MI, Jason Kirby of Corunna, MI, Malynn Rose Hickey of Corunna, MI, Tiffany Snook, and 1 great granddaughter Jennifer Snook. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister at birth, and 3 brothers Marvin, A.G. and Bill.
