Bonita Marie "Bonnie" King age 79 of Ithaca, MI, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Bonita was born in Emmet County, MI on October 15, 1937, the daughter of Lester Charles and Francis Mae (Washburn) Trayer.  Bonnie resided most of her life in North Star after retiring she moved to Beulah, MI.

Bonnie was married to Gordon Mills then married Samuel King on August 15, 1957.  He passed away on October 17, 2000.  Bonnie retired from K Mart in Alma as an Apparel Manager then worked at McDonald's in Benzie, MI.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy.  Bonnie enjoyed reading, liked to fish, and go mushrooming.

She is survived by her son David Mills of Ithaca, MI, son Sam and Suzie King of Ithaca, MI, granddaughter Janie Mills of Shepherd, MI, grandson Ryan Mills of Ithaca, MI, grandson Brandon Mills of Ithaca, MI, grandson Jim and Amy King of St. Louis, MI, grandson Mike and Brandon King of North Carolina, 5 great-grandchildren; Courtney, Andrew, Sam, Ava and Reva, brother Roger and Janet Trayer of Vestaburg, MI, brother Rollie and Marilyn Trayer of Mt. Pleasant, MI, brother Ron and Marie Trayer of Beulah, MI, sister Nancy Johnston of Riverdale, MI, siblings; Terry and Sheri Waldron, LJ and Becky Waldron, Wendy and Gary Jensen, Danny Waldron, special friend Ray Roach.  Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Trayer and Francis Waldron, her husband, sibling Randy Waldron and nephew Dennis Johnston.
