Bonnie Lou Baker age 70 of Corunna, Michigan died Monday, December 11, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center Flint, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Lawrence Gill will officiate with burial at Bendall Cemetery, Genesee County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. and Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 11-8 P.M. with family present 11-1 & 5-8 P.M.

Bonnie was born in Rankin, Michigan on September 23, 1936 the daughter of Willis Charles and Carletta ( Putnam ) Henry. She resided most of her life in the Corunna area and graduated from Swartz Creek High School with the class of 1955. Bonnie married Charles Richard Baker on August 16, 1958 in Rankin, MI. He passed away in 1982. Bonnie was a bus driver with Corunna Public Schools since 1968. In 1954 she was the pitcher on the AAU National Champions Summer League in Swartz Creek. She enjoyed her family and spending time with them. Bonnie was a member of Service Employees International Union, Local 517 M AFL-C10.

She is survived by her children; Kurt & Mary Baker of Durand, MI, Kelli & Todd Volek of Corunna, MI, Karl & Julie Baker of Grayslake, IL, Kent & Sarah Baker of Portage, MI, Keeli Baker of Lansing, MI, grandchildren; Kelsey, Kameron, & Katie, Baker, Cody Volek, Zachary, Will, Griffin & Mia Baker, brothers & sisters; Ella Mae & Donald Halka, Earl & Berta Henry, Walt & Therese Henry, Pat & Chris Henry, Don & Parna Henry, Tom & Sharen Henry, Ted & Jennifer Henry, Bill & Doris Henry, Rick & Joan Henry, Doug & Linda Henry, Randy & Tami Henry, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Charles (Dick) Baker and 3 brothers Charles, Jack, and George Henry.

Memorials may be made to Corunna Educational Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
