Braden Scott "Brady" Hessbrook

     Braden Scott Hessbrook "Brady", age 20, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023.

     Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. St. Paul the Apostle Church, 121 Union Street, Ithaca, MI 48847, with Rev. Fr. Edwin Dwyer presiding. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 & 5:00-7:30 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI.  A Catholic Prayer Vigil will be held on Thursday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

   Brady was born in Carson City, Michigan on August 19, 2002, the son of Terry and Kristina (Stevenson) Hessbrook. Brady graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 2021. He went on to attend Wayne State University where he was a member of the football team.

     Brady was a talented and dedicated athlete, excelling in football and basketball in high school. He grew up playing all kinds of sports with his sister Kelsey. One of his favorite hobbies was spending time with his forever girl and love of his life Alli. He enjoyed fishing with cousins Jordan and Logan and his Grandad Glen at Lake Isabella and Derby Lake. He also enjoyed playing video games with his buddies. Brady had an infectious smile and could light up a room. He had a strong faith in God and prayed daily, including before each game.

   He is survived by his parents Terry and Kristy Hessbrook, sister Kelsey Hessbrook and fiancee Kala Slater, girlfriend Alli and the Walden family, grandparents Glen and Marge Stevenson, aunts and uncles: George and Lynn Hessbrook, Gary and Barb Hessbrook, Todd and Sherri Hessbrook, Steve and Tami Schantz, Rob and Laura Bondy. He is also survived by many loving cousins, family members and friends.

     He was preceded in death by grandparents George Sr. and Teresa Hessbrook, Aunt Norma Netzley and great grandparents: Glen Sr. and Marie Stevenson.
