Brenda Jean Huntoon

      Brenda Jean Huntoon, age 82, of Sumner, MI, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, with Rev. Fr. Edwin Dwyer officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Twp., MI at a later date.
     Brenda was born in Alma, Michigan on April 1, 1942, the daughter of Carl A. and Beatrice Pearl (Lyon) Miller. Brenda married her high school sweetheart, Duane Huntoon on April 8, 1961. They celebrated 63 years of marriage together. Brenda was a clerk for the City of St. Louis for 10 years. She was musically gifted and self-taught playing the piano, guitar, and accordion. She was a wonderful singer and sang at many weddings. Brenda was a talented artist and enjoyed painting. She also enjoyed horseback riding. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     She is survived by her husband Duane Huntoon; children: Tim Huntoon, Tony and Leah Huntoon, and Sondra Huntoon-Briese; grandchildren: Carl and Kelly Huntoon, Kayla and Jason Sutherland, Curtis and Marcy Huntoon, Jamie Huntoon, Brad Huntoon, Josh and Felicia Huntoon, Jason and Whitney Huntoon, Courtney VanHorn, Samantha Briese and fiancé Jack Lehnherr, and Amanda and Quentin VanDover; and great-grandchildren: Gracie, Gavin, Henry, Leo, Harper, Landon, Levi, Kensley, Kinnick, Jack Jr. "JJ", Cally Jo, and one more on the way. She is also survived by her sister Bonita and Wayne Howd, her brother Marvin and Debbie Miller; sisters-in-law: Gayla Miller, and Evelyn Miller; and her brother-in-law Bob Mollema. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Gary Miller, Doug Miller, and Charlene Mollema.
