Brian Muscott

Brian Ralph Muscott age 62, of St. Louis, MI died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 6-8 PM., and on Monday, October 13, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel.

Brian was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 17, 1945, the son of Ralph Dewey and Marjorie Ann (Powers) Muscott. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1964. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Brian married Janice (Gorham) Muscott on January 3, 1981 at Emerson Presbyterian Church. Brian was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. He was an avid bass fisherman, hunter, and loved working on his class reunions. He also enjoyed going out to the stockyards and his monthly meetings with his co-workers. Brian was a mail carrier for many years, and worked as the postal clerk for the last 15 years of his career. He retired in 2002.

He is survived by and his wife Janice Muscott, 2 sons; Shane & Carrie Muscott of St. Louis, Bradley & Jill Muscott of Saginaw, stepdaughter Sheri & Cliff Chamberlain of Shepherd, stepson Michael & Donna Priest of St. Louis, stepdaughter Wendy Priest of Midland, MI, 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and a sister Margo House of Alma, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Kent(Chopper)House.
