Brian Parker

Brian L. Parker, age 62, of Lansing, MI, formerly of Ovid, MI died Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Johns, MI on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.

Brian was born in St. Johns, Michigan on December 24, 1950, the son of Arza Parker and Leta (Goodrich) Gleason. He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 1970. On June 15, 2003 Brian married Peggy Deiter in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brian retired from General Motors in Flint, MI, after 32 years of service. He enjoyed traveling to the Great Lakes visiting lighthouses. His family was very important to him and he really enjoyed his dogs. He resided most of his life in Ovid, Michigan moving to Lansing in 2000.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Parker of Lansing, MI, daughter Amy and John Gibson of Owosso, MI, son Jeffrey Parker and Melissa Bennett of Laingsburg, MI, stepdaughter Kamela and Michael Thelen of Dimondale, MI, stepson John and Amy Deiter of Dewitt, MI, grandchildren; Corbin, Jacob, Madison, Gweny, Davin, Tyler, and Chelsey, his children's mother Suzanne Parker, Ovid, MI, and his best buddies Moka and Kaiser, his dogs. He was predeceased by his parents.
