Burton E. Tabor age 90 of Elsie, Michigan died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Clinton Memorial Hospital, St. Johns, Michigan
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, September 13, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. Rev. Diane Gordon will officiate with burial at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, Michigan
Burton was born in Elsie, Michigan on December 9, 1913 the son of Orin & Della ( Mead ) Tabor. Burton married Esther B. Henry in Duplain Township on September 27, 1936. Esther died August 25, 1996. He was a farmer, and a past member of Elsie Lions Club, Colony Sportsman Club, he was also a member of Farm Bureau and a past Duplain Township Constable. He resided most of his life in the Elsie area.
He is survived by 2 daughters Jill & Harry Huntoon of Elsie, MI, Rita Lewis & Larry Purvis of Elsie, MI 1 son Gale & Ele Tabor of Elsie, MI, 7 grandchildren & several great grandchildren, 1 sister Clara Grubaugh of Elsie, MI and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters Hazel Baxter & Fannie Bishop, brother in laws & special friends Loren Grubaugh & Ken Baxter, cousin Bill Kosier.
Memorials can be made to Cris Pointe Lighthouse or a Charity of the donora�(TM)s choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
