Carl Robert "Bob" Anderson age 72 of Vestaburg, Michigan formerly of Ithaca, Michigan died Friday, February 22, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor George Showers will officiate with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Bob was born in Ithaca, Michigan on June 25, 1935 the son of Carl Edgar and Yula Mae (Baker) Anderson. He resided most of his life in Ithaca and Vestaburg, Michigan and graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1955. Bob was a farmer. He also worked as an Elevator manager, a State and Federal Bean Inspector and was self-employed at Vestaburg Marketing until retirement. He loved animals, his beef cattle, his pony "Bud", his minature donkies, and his dogs "Suzie" and "Kia". He also enjoyed auction sales.
He is survived by 3 children; Lori & Joel Miller of Perrinton, MI, Jeff & Jenny Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Mike & Judi Anderson of Ithaca, MI, 3 grandchildren; Tyler Peet, Chesney Anderson, Jaylynn Anderson, and 1 sister Deloris Skinner of Ithaca, MI. He is predeceased by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Gratiot Medical Center Cardiology Unit, Alma, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
