Carl Floyd Harmon age 69 of Attica, Michigan formerly of Bannister, Michigan died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Lapeer Regional Hospital, Lapeer, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Kathy Leydorf will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Carl was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 16, 1938 the son of James and Irene Harmon. He resided most of his life in Tennessee, Monroe, and Bannister and graduated from Clairborne County High School in Tennessee with the class of 1958. Carl married Jean M. Dunaj in 1974 in Detroit, Michigan. She died on February 3, 2002. Carl retired in 1996 from Hansen Oil Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved to play cards and checkers. Carl really loved his grandkids, and spending time with his family. He was also a prankster. Carl was a Past Mason.
He is survived by his children; Debbie Edwards of Eastpointe, MI, Dale & Denise Harmon of Attica, MI, Joann & Thomas Shaulis of St. Johns, MI, Angel & Scott Mendham of St. Johns, MI, Tammy & Larry Hall of Monroe, MI, Victor & Sue Harmon of Dearborn, MI, James Harmon of Monroe, MI, Richard Harmon of Monroe, MI, 24 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Nancy & Carson Honeycutt of Tennessee, JoEllen Honeycutt of Tennessee, Edna Alston of Monroe, MI. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, and 1 brother Herbert.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
