Carl L. McClintic, age 86, of St. Louis, MI passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Pine River Healthcare Center, St. Louis, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Carl was born in Shepherd, Michigan on July 23, 1929, the son of Carl and Pearl (Phelps) McClintic. Carl married Betteann McDaid on December 7, 1951.
Carl worked 25 years at Michigan Chemical Corporation. He went on to manage 300 Bowl in Alma for 10 years. Carl then went to Medler Electric where he sold electrical supplies for 16 years. Carl enjoyed bowling, he had a 300 game. He also enjoyed golfing, fast pitch softball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Alma, MI.
He is survived by his wife Betteann McClintic of St. Louis, MI, 2 sons; David and Linda McClintic of Portage, MI, Joseph and Julie McClintic of St. Louis, MI, daughter in law Terry McClintic of Portland, MI, 6 grandchildren; Julinne McClintic, Matthew McClintic, Gina McClintic, Carlee McClintic, Thomas McClintic, Brittney McClintic, brother Harold and Pauline McClintic of St. Louis, MI, brother Jack and Bonnie McClintic of Mt. Pleasant, MI, sister Ruth Woodcock of St. Louis, MI, sister Janice and John Jourdain of Clare, MI, and brother Thomas and Vivian McClintic of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Edwin, brother Dale (Betty) McClintic, 3 sisters; Leah (Forrest) Stone, Thelma (Larry) Sopel and Joyce (Maynard) Giles, and brother in law Bernard Woodcock.
