Carl Wayne Peck, born on March 31, 1940 the second son of Wayne and Helen (Matthews) Peck left this life on March 9, 2015 at the age of 74 at his home in Elsie, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Carl was born in St. Johns, Michigan and lived his life in the Bannister and Elsie area. He graduated from Elsie High School in 1958 and was a member of the FFA, Gun Club, played football, was on the Annual staff and part of the junior play. On July 31, 1979 he married his love Rosalene "Rosie" (Zatocil) Bensinger. Carl retired from Michigan Milk Producers in 1999 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, watching both men's and women's sports, golf, playing pinochle, and bus trips to the casino. He was a member of Bannister United Methodist Church Bannister, MI.
He is survived by 4 stepsons he called his own; James (Linda) Bensinger or Uehling, NE, John (Yvonne) Bensinger of Glen Dale, WV, Mike Bensinger of Durand, MI, David (Deborah) Bensinger of Meridian, ID, daughter in law Sandy Bensinger of Swartz Creek, MI, 8 grandchildren; Emily Bensinger, Jill (Brian) Tissue, Zac Bensinger, Christopher Nethaway, Jessica Nethaway, Derek Bensinger, Noam Bensinger and Sage Bensinger and 5 great grandchildren, brother Roger (Elaine) Peck of Raleigh, NC, sister in law Sharon Peck of Ovid, MI, brother in law Gary (Ruth) Zatocil, 3 neices Linda (Charles) Steinert, Lisa Peck (Robert Henneman), Julianne (Kevin) Chu, 1 nephew Benjamin (Jill) Peck, and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife of over 35 years, Rosie Peck, sister Maleta, and brother Dale.
