Carol Freeman

Carol Delila Freeman, age 73, of Owosso, MI passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel, Corunna, MI on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Burial will take place at West Haven Township Cemetery, New Haven Township, MI.

Carol was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 14, 1935, the daughter of Halsey LeRoy and Avis Oneida (Stanton) Carr. She attended Owosso High School and graduated with the class of 1953. Carol married Lawrence Guy Freeman on September 30, 1953 in Angola, Indiana. Lawrence passed away in 1990.

Carol worked for the Fairway store in Corunna for seventeen years. She enjoyed going to the library and having coffee with her friends. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, going to craft shows and taking care of her family. She resided all of her life in the Owosso area.

She is survived by one daughter; Kim and James Settlemyre of Kissimmee, FL, four sons; Ken and Vickie Freeman of Owosso, MI, Kirbby and Michelle Freeman of Owosso, MI, Keith and Debbie Freeman of Owosso, MI, Kip and Kelly Freeman of Chesaning, MI, 6 grandchildren; Kaleena and Kyle Jedinak, William Freeman, Cameron Freeman, Jeffery Freeman, Jordan Freeman, Britney Coon, and one brother Joe and Karen Carr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence Freeman, and one brother Larry Munger.
