Carol Kindel

Carol Onahlee Kindel, age 93, of Ashley, MI died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Arbor Grove Assisted Living, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Ithaca Church of God Ithaca, MI on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor James Conn will officiate.

Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery North Star, MI.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI.

Carol was born in Newark Township, Michigan on December 12, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Addie (Bovee) Misenhelder.

She married Gerald F. Kindel on June 17, 1940 and he died on October 7, 2005

Carol owned/operated Tres Jolie Beauty Shop for 25 years and supported her husband in running the family farm.

She was a member of Ithaca Church of God where she participated in the Women of the Church of God

Carol is survived by a son Raymond Kindel of Ithaca, MI; daughter Marilyn and Glen Crook of Alma, MI; 8 grandchildren Alan and Cindy Kindel of Holt, MI, Michelle and Kurt Kalisek of Ithaca, MI, Kevin and Lori Kindel of Ithaca, MI, Mark and Angela Kindel of Pompeii, MI, Carolyn and Jon Studebaker of Alma, MI, Cheryl and Mike Richmond of Ithaca, MI, Charles Yordy of Ithaca, MI, Cathy and Andy Cameron of Ithaca, MI; 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a brother Dale Misenhelder of Ithaca, MI.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Gerald, Carol was preceded in death by her brother Othel Misenhelder, two sisters, Rhea Thomas and Irene Witter and daughter-in-law, Sharon Kindel.
