Carol Miller

Carol Louise Miller age 80, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M., with Chaplain Chuck Hendrix officiating.  Visitation will be held for 2 hours prior to the service.

Carol was born in Ithaca, MI on October 9, 1938, the 8th of the 10 children of Edward and Edna (Wilson) Chase.  She graduated from Ithaca Schools.  Carol worked at Haffner's Dime Store when she was young and later was a nurse’s aid for many years.

Carol was very talented.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle point, and crafts of all sorts.  Carol was a great baker and enjoyed cooking for her family.  She was the best fisherman in her family and she would tell you!  Carol also liked watching game shows.  She loved flowers.  Carol had a great sense of humor all through her life.  But most of all, Carol was passionate about her grandchildren and loved her family with all of her heart.

Carol is survived by 3 children: John Freed of Alma; Louise Lohrer of Ithaca; Gladys (David) Brush of Mile City, MT; 6  grandchildren: Lara, Ben, Garrett, Colton, Charles and Tasha; 3 great grandchildren: Landon, Kinsley and Azlinn; and sister Ruth Beck.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Thelma Cheney, Fern Lover, Delores "Jean" Smith, Norma Benner, Betty Mae Chase, Beverly Thayer, Edward "Bud" Chase, and Dawn Sisco.
