Carol Lee Reed, age 70, of Henderson, MI passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Minister Brad McFaul officiating. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Fairfield Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 6-8 P.M., and Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour prior to the funeral.

Carol was born in Byron, MI on October 6, 1943, the daughter of Kenneth George and Beatrice (Van Alkin) Henry. She graduated from Byron High School. Carol married Roger D. Reed on October 28, 1960. Carol worked as a manager for Old Newsboys in Flint for over 15 years. She was a 4H leader for 16 years and was a swine superintendent for Shiawassee County Fair for approximately 10 years. Carol was an artist, enjoying painting and giving much of her artwork to others. She was a member of Chesaning Church of Christ.

Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years Roger Reed, son Roger D. and Lisa Reed Jr., daughter Carla Reed-Bissonnette, granddaughter Jessie and Aaron Leckenby, all of Henderson, MI, grandaughter Megan Reed and Brent Browne of St. Charles, MI, grandson Dalton Bissonnette, twin grandchildren, Cailee and Dillon Bissonnette, all of Henderson, MI, 2 great granddaughters; Kelsie and Cammie Leckenby, and brother James and Linda Henry of Durand, MI. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
