Carol Edith Vereb age 51 of St. Louis, Michigan died on Friday, December 1, 2006 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 P.M. and burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan.
Carol was born on June 6, 1955 the daughter of William & Alma (Aulwes) Collinge in Port Huron, Michigan and resided most of her life in Alma & St. Louis area. She had been a direct care worker in the area for the last several years. She loved bingo, going to the casino, camping, and traveling to the sand dunes.
Survivors include her children, April & John Marzec of Middleton, Michigan, Max & Heather Vereb of Riverdale, Michigan, Shawnie Vereb & Jason Simon of Ithaca, Michigan, Jennifer Vereb & Jimmy Kato of St. Louis, Michigan, Billie Best of Alma, Michigan, her life partner, Joseph Best of St. Louis, Michigan, 10 grandchildren, 1 sister, Shirley & Dan Cass of Jackson, Michigan, 1 brother, Clarence Collinge of Florida, a half sister, Wilma Kennedy of Atlanta, Michigan. She was predeceased by her parents, 1 brother Bill Collinge. Memorial may be made to the family.
