Carol Vogel

Carol Sue Vogel age 65 of St. Louis, MI, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center - Gratiot, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 with Pastor David Wertz officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery Alma, MI.  Visitation will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 from 4- 8 P.M. and Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Carol was born in Carson City, Michigan on January 17, 1953 the daughter of John and Ruth (Hevel) Henry.  Carol resided all of her life in St. Louis and was a graduate of St. Louis High School with the Class of 1972.  Carol married Robert Vogel on February 24, 1973 in St. Louis.

Carol enjoyed playing Skipbo.  She loved her pets and all animals.  Carol loved scrap booking and known for her love of sweets.  But most of all she loved her grand babies.  Family was a very important part of her life. Carol loved going to church and praising God.  She was a member of Faith Life Christian Center in Alma where she was known as the “Devil Kicking Mama”.

She is survived by her husband Robert Vogel of St. Louis, MI; daughter Helen and Mike Davis of Breckenridge, MI; daughter Tammy and Paul Brown of St. Louis, MI; 2 grandchildren Tyler Davis and Makayla Brown: sister Frances and Gary Case of St. Louis, MI; sister Jean and Elmer Otto of Riverdale, MI; brother Richard and Vicki Henry of St. Louis, MI. Carol is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a special daughter Janice Daley.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.
