Carole Moore

Carole Moore, 71 of Harbor Springs, died January 3, 2015 at home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Carole was born in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of Hoyt and Georgia Muffitt. She grew up in Jackson and Lansing, Michigan. Carole is a graduate of Villa Maria Catholic School in Grand Rapids.

Carole gave birth to her only daughter, Sherri, on May 28, 1964. Sherri preceded Carole in death.

On April 14, 1973, she married Roger Moore in Lansing. The couple lived in Bannister, Michigan for over twenty years. In 1995, Carole and Roger moved to Harbor Springs; where they enjoyed camping and boating. Carole was a member of Holy Childhood of Jesus Christ Church in Harbor Springs. She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Cyril's in Bannister, Michigan, and a retired volunteer for the Emmet County Friendship Center. Carole is described as a "planner", always organizing family events and gatherings. She was a beloved friend to many.

Carole is survived by her husband Roger Moore of Harbor Springs, her sister Linda (Pete) Loepke of Harbor Springs and brother Gary (Donna) Muffitt of Blue Springs, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sherri Mills and her brother David Muffitt.
