Carolyn Bodwin, age 87, passed away on March 29, 2013 at her home in East Lansing, Michigan. Carolyn was born August 30, 1925 in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Wilfred and Dorothy (Wheeler) Clapp and they preceded her in death. Carolyn was an accomplished pianist and taught vocal music in the East Lansing School System, directing many fine musical productions and coaching her students. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Lansing Matinee Musical and M.S.U. Music Alumni Association.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Vic) Lane; sons, Randolph (Sue) and Linton (Marcie Carlson) Bodwin; grandchildren, Jacqueline Swanson, Theresa, William and Ethan Bodwin. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Phelps. Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Stanley Clapp and former husband, Herbert Bodwin.
There will be a memorial service for Carolyn at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National Audubon Society 225 Varick Street New York, NY. Carolyn's family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Homes.
