Carolyn Foesz

Carolyn Louise Foesz, age 80, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at the Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born in Durand, Michigan on September 23, 1929, the daughter of Harry J. and Martha (Cecil) Sapp. She was a graduate of Durand High School.

Carolyn married Robert Foesz on July 2, 1948 in Bancroft. He passed away in July 1980. Carolyn resided most of her life in the Owosso area.

Carolyn worked as an Instructional Aide for the Shiawassee Intermediate Schools R.E.S.D. for 26 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Bennington United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her 2 daughters; Charlene George and Jim Wadsworth of Ovid, MI, and Barbara and Jacob Uitvlugt of South Boardman, MI, son David Foesz of Owosso, MI, grandchildren; Jennifer, Eric, Bill, Joe, Becky, Jacob, Tracy, Jordan, Katlyn and Morgan, and several great-grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Harry Sapp and Martha Riley, husband Robert, son Robert Jr., daughter Carol Ann, daughter-in-law Dee and 2 brothers; Donald and Harry Jr.
