Carrie Sue Huard

     Carrie Sue Huard, age 57, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 16, 2022 with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel.

     Carrie was born in St. Johns, Michigan on October 25, 1964, the daughter of Jerry Crowell and Barbara (Ludwick) Crowell. She graduated from St. Johns High School. Carrie married Joseph Huard on May 15, 1995 in St. Johns, MI.

     Carrie obtained her CNA certification in 1993 and went to work with Hazel I. Findlay in St. Johns for over 20 years and was still employed. Carrie was a compassionate; and nurturing caregiver who dedicated her life to caring for others. She enjoyed reading and watching scary movies with her family. She loved spending time with her family and friends.  

   She is survived by her husband Joe Huard of St. Johns, MI; son Nicolas Huard and Mark Taveros of Evanston, IL; daughter Brandye and Joe Croley of Eaton Rapids, MI; father Jerry (Linda) Crowell of McMillan MI; grandchildren: Mason, Jack, Will, and Kate Croley, sisters: Cheryl and Jeff Wagner of Harrison, MI; and Chris and Al  Droste of Freeland, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and 3 step-sisters.  She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara and her grandparents.
