Cass McCollum age 91 of Owosso, Michigan died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, Michigan.
A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery Vernon, MI on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 4:00 PM. Rev. David R. Strobe will officiate.
Cass was born in Vernon, Michigan on November 17, 1916 the son of Clarence Alfred and Stella Mae ( Wines ) McCollum. He resided most of his life in Shiawassee County, Michigan and graduated from Vernon Schools. Cass married Anne Vreibel on June 15, 1940 in Fenton, Michigan. Cass worked in Plant Security at GM in Flint at the Engine Powertrain Plant.
He is survived by his wife Anne McCollum of Owosso, MI, 2 daughters; Jane & Gary Roe of Cheybogan, MI, Janet Redford of Corunna, MI, grandchildren; David & Kelly Roe of Haslett, MI, William & Jennifer Redford of Riverbank, CA, Andrea Redford of Gustine, CA, great grandchildren; Blake, Harley, and Dawson Roe of Haslett, MI, 2 sisters; Celia Schrott, Maxine Holeck, 3 brothers; Chad & Dorothy McCollum, Marshall & Alice McCollum, Kenneth & Betty McCollum, 3 sisters-in-law Josephine McCollum, Dorothy McCollum, Millie McCollum, amd several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers; Clifford, Jim & Don McColllum, and brother-in-law Carl Holeck.
Memorials may be made to Vernon Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
