Catherine Nina Howd, age 72, of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Schnepp Health Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Monday, January 3, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2010 from 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Catherine was born in Ithaca, Michigan on March 15, 1938, the daughter of Charles and Isabell (Bridgett) McIntosh. She married Dean L. Howd on August 18, 1952 in Ithaca, MI. Dean preceded her in death on March 27, 2010. Catherine resided most of her life in St. Louis, and enjoyed being with her family and spending time with them. She was a member of St. Louis Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son Dennis and Stella Howd of Ithaca, MI, son Richard and Deborah Howd of St. Louis, MI, daughter Christy Howd of St. Louis, MI, son Larry Howd and Vicki Hunt of Alma, MI, son James and Tracy Howd of St. Louis, MI, son Scott and Tammy Howd of St. Louis, MI, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Jackie and James Kelley of St. Louis, MI, Joyce and Larry Miller of New Hampshire. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean, granddaughter Heather, sister Mary Hulwick, and brother Harry McIntosh.
