Chad Wayne Strickfaden, age 25, of St. Louis, MI died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel with Pastor Gige Snyder officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Chad was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 6, 1985, the son of Tommy Strickfaden and Tina Jones. He was a graduate of Fulton Adult Education. Chada�(TM)s number one priority was taking care of his dog, Chelsea. Chad loved playing his PS3, was an avid U of M fan, and he loved art and poetry. Chad was the glue of his family, and acted as a surrogate father for his youngest sister. He was a member of New Life Ministries in St. Louis.
He is survived by his mother Tina Jones and Mark Haley of St. Louis, MI, father Tommy Strickfaden and Dolly Olsen of Lansing, MI, 7 sisters; J.J. Taylor of Arizona, Melissa and Steve Via of St. Louis, MI, Heather and Bradley (Short) Jones of Alma, MI, Jasmine and Luis (Velazco) Way of St. Louis, MI, Christianna Way of St. Louis, MI, Angelina Way of St. Louis, MI, and Samantha Olsen of Lansing, MI, 2 brothers; Tommy VanBuren of Chesaning, MI, and Timothy Olsen of Lansing, MI, grandparents; Carmen and Larry Grey of St. Louis, MI, Donald Jones of Lake, MI, Charlotte Strickfaden of Lansing, MI, Margarette Peacock of Ithaca, MI, and 2 special family members; Frank Way of Breckenridge, MI, and Lendell Taylor of Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; McKenna, Jaycelin, Liberty, Aaliyah, Landen, Robert, Marina, Amelia, and Dillon, special friend Kendra Pannill, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandma G.G., and grandfather Keith Way.
