Charles Anderson

Charles Joseph Anderson age 77, of Ovid, Michigan, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at his daughter's home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, Michigan on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor John Jakus officiating.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M.

Charles was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 22, 1939, the son of Joseph and Helen (Poole) Anderson.  He resided most of his life in Ovid, MI and formerly lived in Mio, MI.  Charlie worked for General Motors and Motor Wheel.  He loved to hunt and fish.  He also enjoyed spending time in the Upper Peninsula. Charlie was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge.

Charlie is survived by two daughters; Missy and Ray Sheldon of Ovid, MI, Mindy and Mike Hilton, of Ovid, MI, 2 grandchildren; Felecia Sheldon and Cale Weller, sister Joyce and Don Webb of Potterville, MI, brother Jim and Carol Anderson, of Curtis, MI, sister Judy Anderson of Manistee, MI, brother Steve and Connie Anderson of Shaftsburg, MI, brother Jack Anderson of Haslett, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tom Anderson, and sister Pat Smith.
