Charles Brothers

Charles Schuyler Brothers, age 74, of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso.

Funeral Services will be held at the Owosso Church of God on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Edward Schweikert will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso.

Charles was born in Corunna, Michigan on August 2, 1937, the son of Jerome and Ethel (Ferris) Brothers. Charles served his country in the U.S. Armed Forces and resided most of his life in the Corunna and Owosso area. Charles married Donna J. (Warner) Redmond on August 20, 1977 in Owosso.

Charlie was a devoted farmer. He worked at Reed Dairy Farm of Owosso where he loved working with the cows. One of his favorite pastimes was plowing snow. He was a faithful member of the Owosso Church of God.

He is survived by his wife Donna Brothers of Owosso, MI; step children Phil and Deborah Klockziem of Owosso, MI, Mike and Bonnie Vizi of Owosso, MI, Mark and Karen Redmond of Owosso, MI & Lula Marie Shannon of Ovid, MI; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Bill and Rita Brothers & Eugene and Freida Brothers; sister Betty and Joe Verlan. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
