Charles McCollum

Charles Alfred "Chad" McCollum, age 102, of Mio, MI formerly of Vernon, MI died Saturday, February 1, 2014.

A Private Memorial Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

Chad was born in Vernon, MI on January 31, 1912, the son of Clarence and Stella (Wines) McCollum. He served his country in the US Air Force, 491st Bomb Group in England during WW II. Chad retired from Ford Motor Company on January 31, 1972.

He is survived by his son Clare McCollum of Ithaca, MI, 5 grandsons; Roy and Laura McCollum of Sumner, MI, Scott McCollum of Alma, MI, John McCollum, Mike McCollum and Jeff McCollum, 10 great grandchildren, sister Maxine Holochek of West Branch, MI, and 2 brothers; Marshall and Alice McCollum of Owosso, MI, and Clarence "Ken" McCollum of Mio, MI. Chad was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Marian and his second wife Dorothy, son John McCollum, sister Celia, and 4 brothers; Clifford, Cass, John and James McCollum.
