Charles Olson

Charles J. Olson, Jr. of Ovid died March 14, 2009 at the age of 79. He was born April 25, 1929 in Clinton Co. the son of Charles and Ruth Olson. Charles served in the Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #153 in St. Johns. He loved the land and farmed for numerous years, and was an avid hunter.

He is survived by his children, Eric (Larissa) Olson of Brenham, TX, Michael (Kiersten) Olson of Rockford, MI, Inger Olson of Fort Collins, CO, and Erika (Derek) Fatura of Ludington, MI, 6 grandchildren, sisters Alverda Long and Jeanne Leonard. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Alex Olson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, MI with Pastor Cheryll Warren officiating, burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
