Charles Teegardin

Charles Edwin "Charlie" Teegardin of Ithaca was released from his struggle with cancer on July 13, 2018. He took this journey with a positive attitude, a smile on his face and looking forward to meeting his Lord.

He accomplished many things in his life but none were as important to him as his faith, family and friends. He loved taking care of his yard, playing golf with friends and visiting with friends on his porch. The love and support received during his illness from his family and friends was amazing and he was touched deeply by the love he was shown.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ithaca Church of God, Ithaca, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, with Pastor Tom Whitesell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Marlene (Andrew) Teegardin of Ithaca; son: Shad and Heather Teegardin of Ithaca; daughter: Mandriel and Dennis Symonds of Ithaca; sister: Linda Crumbaugh of Ithaca; sister: Diane Merchant of Ithaca; sister-in-law: JoEllyn Coryell of Ionia; mother- in-law: Leatha Andrew of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law: Marian and Dan Dinsmore of Carson City.  He is also survived by grandchildren: Jacob (Kelli) Sigafoose, Journey Teegardin, Cade Symonds and Jace Symonds.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Orlin and Rena Teegardin; father-in-law: Marion Andrew; brother: Gary Teegardin; niece: Peggy Crumbaugh and brother-in-law: Donald Crumbaugh.
