Charles Ray "Carl" Turner, age 77, of Ashley, MI passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Carson City Hospital in Carson City, MI.

Charles was born in Napier, Kentucky on June 16, 1936, the son of Mayo Turner and Gradie (Huff) Bailey. Charles resided most of his life in the Ashley area. He had worked various jobs in the Gratiot County area, and served his country in the U.S. Army. Carl was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan, enjoyed country music, and loved fishing.
Charles is survived by daughter Jewel and Raul Lopez of Holland, MI, daughter Joy and Joseph Buttiglieri of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, son Robert and Julie Turner of Alma, MI, son Michael Turner of Ashley, MI, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, several siblings and other extended family members, and ex wife Betty Wheeler-DeReyes of Grand Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, second wife Mildred Turner, grandparents, and siblings.
