Charlotte June (Holzhausen) Ellerbrock, age 92, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, Michigan on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. David R. Strobe will officiate. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and Saturday 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
Charlotte was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 11, 1920, the daughter of Paul and Charlotte (Koerner) Hasse. She graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1938. June married Henry Holzhausen in 1939, Henry predeceased her in 1964. On November 24, 1978 June married James "Roy" Ellerbrock in Owosso, Michigan he died in 2002.
June was a homemaker and in her early years she worked for Redmond's and Universal Electric in Owosso, Michigan. She was a former crossing guard for Owosso Public Schools and she enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the U.M.W. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Owosso.
She is survived by 3 sons; Dennis and Prudence Holzhausen of Elkhart, Indiana, Allen and Sue Holzhausen of East Lansing, Michigan, Mark and Deborah Holzhausen of Bancroft, Michigan, 8 grandchildren; Amy Holzhausen, Alyse Vordermark, Kimberly Holzhausen, Erich (Amy) Holzhausen, Alan Walters, Charles Walters, Holly Holzhausen, and Kelly Tuttleman, 6 great grandchildren, sister Thelma Newell of Owosso, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Henry and James "Roy", brother Paul and sister Maxine.
