Cheryl Lynn Morales-Gutierrez

     Cheryl Lynn Morales-Gutierrez (Shinabargar) of Alma, Michigan, born November 19,1958, in Carson City, MI. After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at the age of 66, with her family by her side on March 10, 2025.
     A Memorial Service will be held at Seville Community Church of God, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Bob Fall officiating.
     Cheryl was a graduate of Vestaburg High School, class of 1976. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Montcalm Community College and later while working for the USDA, a degree in Animal Husbandry from Texas A&M. But if you asked her, her greatest accomplishment was raising her three children.
     Cheryl loved history and reading, and passed that love down to her children. She enjoyed old Westerns, Gunsmoke, and I Love Lucy. She spent her spare time crafting and making her "bling." She was an enthusiastic singer, especially on long road trips with her children. She had an ability to let people know how much they meant to her. Cheryl loved her children very much. However, she had a stronger love for her grandchildren and there was nothing like it. Her strength and beauty will live on in them.
     She is survived by her son Scott Shinabargar; son Gerrad (Alicia) Gutierrez; daughter Victoria (Greg) Salser, five granddaughters: Anavey (Dylan) Ray, Sloane Shinabargar, Wren Gutierrez, Raylnn Gutierrez, Jensyn Shinabargar; two grandsons: Zander Stabb, and Sawyer Davis; three great-grandchildren: Saphira, Paxton, and Stella; her mother Marian Shinabargar, two brothers: Larry Shinabarger, and Bob (Nancy) Shinabargar; two sisters: Carol Bell, and Loretta Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Teresa Shinabargar, and father Larry Shinabargar.
