Cheryl Diane (Ryder) Pretzer

     Cheryl Diane Pretzer, age 70, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, surrounded by her family.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  Burial will take place at Porter Township Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.

     Cheryl was born in Alma, Michigan on November 17, 1953, the daughter of Roger Ryder and Mary (Hallock) Gustavison.  She married the love of her life and soulmate Timothy Pretzer on August 1, 1996, Tim passed away on May 12, 2005.

     Cheryl enjoyed gardening and decorating.  Supporting her grandchildren and watching them play sports brought her great joy.  Cheryl did enjoy playing Bingo and going to the casino. She loved to vacation with her friends and family.  

    She is survived by her daughter: Tammy and Tracy Friend; grandchildren: Derek, Mitchell, Alex (Mary), Tayla, Embree, and Brianna; great-grandson Jace; father Roger Ryder; mother Mary Gustavison; sisters: Debbie and Shep Shepherd; Sharlene and Mike Gallahan; Mari Anne Ryder.  Cheryl is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Tonia Smith, step-father Gus Gustavison, and her brother Skip Ryder.
