Chester Dickerson

Chester Gene Dickerson, age 69, of St. Louis, MI died Sunday, November 22, 2009 at his home.

There will be no services held.

Chester was born in Bolivar, Tennessee on June 6, 1940, the son of James Earnest and Oneal (Fonder) Dickerson. He graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit, and he received his certificate as a Legal Assistant from Jackson Community College in 1990. He resided in Michigan most of his life. He was married to Martha "Marty" Dickerson on December 15, 1995 in Carson City, MI. She passed away on February 24, 2007. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and liked watching football and tennis.

He is survived by his stepson Mike Hale of St. Louis, MI, stepdaughter Jennifer and Ralph "Dude" Shaw of St. Louis, MI, 4 grandchildren; Brandon, Wesley, Darby, & Will, a brother Eldon Dickerson of Detroit, MI, and many nieces and nephews living in the Detroit area.
