Chris Alan Jordan, age 58, of Bannister, MI died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Audie Clairmont will officiate. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 2-8 P.M. with family 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI.

Chris was born in Elsie, Michigan on July 11, 1951, the son of Clarence W. and Rosalyn J. (Hoshield) Jordan. He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School. Chris married Donna Mayhew on June 26, 1970 in St. Charles, Michigan. He resided most of his life in the Elsie area. He served in the US Navy, during Vietnam War. Chris worked in the maintenance department at Lear Corporation in Elsie until his retirement in 2006 after 24 years of service. While he was there he served as chairman of the Veterans Committee. He enjoyed riding his Harley's, camping and putzing around the house fixing things. He also enjoyed barbecues and bon fires. His family was special to him and he enjoyed them very much. Chris was a member of the American Legion Post, HOG Member, Flint, Michigan. He attended Church of the Living Word Ovid, MI.

He is survived by his wife Donna Jordan of Bannister, MI, 2 daughters; Deanna and Jeff Adams of St. Johns, MI, Molly Sue Jordan of Bannister, MI, son Christopher and Amy Jordan of Elsie, MI, 8 grandchildren; Jordan, DeAmber, Brandi, Katie, Christopher, Shiann, Austin, Dalton, his mother Roselyn Jordan of Elsie, MI, 2 sisters; Sherry and David Boyd of Oakley, MI, Robin Jordan of Elsie, MI, 2 brothers; Rod Jordan of Ashley, MI, Randy Jordan of Atlanta, MI, mother-in-law, Clarabell Mayhew of Chesaning, MI, and 3 brothers-in-law: Jim, Randy, and Gene Mayhew. He was predeceased by his father.
