Christine I. Epley age 88 of Perry, Michigan died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2005 at 11 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna, MI. Rev. George V. Harris will officiate with burial at Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Christine was born on July 3, 1916 in Shiawassee County, Michigan the daughter of Godfred & Alva (Escott) Ranowsky. She resided in Kalamazoo, Grand Haven, Mesick, Bass Lake and Perry, Michigan. She graduated from Corunna High School. Christine married Herbert L. Epley on June 2, 1951 in Kalamazoo, MI. Herbert predeceased her on December 29, 2002. She worked as a Resort Operator in Traverse City, Michigan. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Francis & Eileen Ann Welton of Traverse City, Michigan, two grandchildren, Alanson William & Christine Welton of Traverse City, Michigan, Christine Lynn Welton of Traverse City, Michigan, two great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Camryn Welton of Traverse City, Michigan, two sisters, Wauneta Tune of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Margaret Leona Ackerman of Oscoda, Michigan, one brother, George Fred & Alice Alice Ranowsky of Waterford, Michigan. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Herb, one sister Phyllis Darling, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Healthcare Center, or Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. 302 West Corunna Avenue, Corunna, Michigan 48817.
