Christine King

Christine Lynn King, age 38, of Sumner, MI, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020.

Funeral Services will be held at Community Baptist Church, 1525 W Superior St, Alma, MI 48801, on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Randy Brandon and Rev. Roger Stombaugh officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at the church. Burial will take place at New Haven Township Cemetery at a later date.

Christine was born in Farmington Hills, MI on August 28, 1982, the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Edith J. (Stombaugh) King. She graduated from Ithaca School with the class of 2001.  She went on to attend Baker College where she received her associates degree in business administration.  Soon after, she joined the Army where she served her country for 8 years. She later received her degree in cosmetology from MJ Murphy in Mt. Pleasant. She was currently attending school to become a medical assistant.

Christine enjoyed crafts. She loved horses and barrel racing with her daughter Haley and attending dirt bike races with her son Blake.

She is survived by her daughter Haley King, son Blake King, parents Kenneth and Edith King, brother Kenneth and Julie King Jr., nieces and nephews: Brayleigh A. King, Karlee E. King, Wesley N. King, and Lane Edgar, brother Michael King, nephew Ian King, niece Irelyn King, friends: Megan Rauch, Alysha Bollinger, and Nicole Parker.
