Christopher Battley

Christopher Charles Battley age 59, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI surrounded by his family.

A Graveside Service will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:00 P.M., with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the cemetery.

Christopher was born in Saginaw, MI on December 7, 1958 the son of Charles Battley and Yvonne (English) Hanley.

Chris enjoyed traveling and went to Florida and also took his electric wheelchair across the Mackinaw Bridge. He liked taking care of his hamster Scooby, electronics, hearing about his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed being read to. Chris especially loved the time his family spent visiting him. His cerebral palsy didn't stop him or slow him down.

He is survived by father Charles Battley, mother Yvonne Hanley, siblings: Kathleen Albin, Sally and Bernie Rittenour, Scott Battley and Michelle Rousseau, Yvette and Frank Way, David Battley, 12 nieces and nephews, many many great nieces and nephews and his best friend Lonnie Hector.  He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, grandfathers, step mother Consuelo (Ramirez) Battley, and sister Cindy Johnson.
