Cindy Rennells

Cindy Kay Rennells age 55 of Ithaca, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor George Showers officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Cindy was born in Carson City, MI, on August 2, 1962 the daughter of Joseph L. and Janet (Kessler) Hernandez.  She was a graduate of St. Louis High School with the class of 1980. Cindy married Doug Rennells on August 24, 1990 in Ithaca.  She resided most of her life in Ithaca.

Cindy "Cinderella" worked in the cafeteria at North Elementary School in Ithaca, she was also a bus driver for Ithaca Public Schools.  She loved her family, grandkids, school family and Seville Community Church of God family very much.  She really enjoyed taking vacations on the Harley with her husband and friends.  Cindy loved working in her vegetable garden.

She is survived by her husband Doug Rennells of Ithaca, MI; 3 children:  David Shrader of St. Louis, MI; Jennifer and Cody Reed of St. Louis, MI; Jeremy Rennells of Ithaca, MI; 5 grandchildren: Logan, Averi and Brooklyn Shrader, Oliver Reed and Baby Girl Reed on the way; mother Janet Hernandez of Alma, MI; 4 siblings: Joe and Lisa Hernandez of St. Louis, MI, Rob and Pam Hernandez of St. Louis, MI, Stephanie Hernandez of Alma, MI, Mary Olson of Riverdale, MI; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  Cindy was preceded in death by her father Joseph Hernandez, sister Kristina Joann Hernandez, and her father and mother-in-law Don and Joyce Rennells.
