Clare Nelson

Clare Vernon Nelson age 61 of Ashley, Michigan, died on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at his home. Clare was born in Flint, Michigan on May 22, 1944 the son of Emery & Iona ( Pettis ) Nelson. He graduated from Fenton High School with the class of 1963 and resided most of his life in the Ashley area.
On July 3, 1987 he married Carole Roberts in Tennessee. Clare retired from Lease Way Trucking Company in 1998. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved #3 Dale Earnhardt and also enjoyed working in his garage.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Nelson, of Ashley, Michigan, 1 Daughter, 2 stepdaughters, Tina & Danny Stafford of Martin, Tennessee, Trina & Richard Steffen of Ashley, Michigan, 2 Sisters, Sandra & Norm Valick of Arizona, Skip & Clyde Mills of Lennon, Michigan, Grandchildren, Kali Steffen & Randy Dycus. He was predeceased by his parents.
Memorials can be made to Sparrow Home Hospice, At the request of Clare, there will be no funeral services, cremation has taken place.
