Clare Winslow

Clare Melvin Winslow, St. Johns, age 87, died September 27, 2009. born July 15, 1922 to in St. Johns. Clare was preceded in death by his parents Frances M. (Severance) and Jesse A. Winslow, by his brothers Allen and Guy, his sisters Ardith, Letha (Wineland), and Katherine (Christenson), and daughter Dorothy Tomlinson.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Carrie (Mervin) Rhynard and Doris (Donald) Riddle; 3 daughters, Judy Winslow of Harrison, MI, Candace Winslow (Scott Nichols) of Bath, MI and Penney (John Cox) Winslow (of Chester, SC; and 2 sons, Clare M. (Bonnie) Winslow, Jr. of Owosso, MI, and Grant M. Winslow of Grand Rapids, MI. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Clare retired as a welder from Moore Iron Works in Owosso.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at South Bingham Cemetery in St. Johns, MI. Donations may be made to Ovid Healthcare Facility (989-834-2228) or the Clinton County Food Bank Project (989-227-3333). The family is being served by Osgood Funeral Homes.
