Clarence Moss Jr

Clarence William "CW" Moss Jr., age 82, of Chesaning, MI passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Corunna, MI. Rev. Russell Merrill will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.

Clarence was born in Flint, MI on November 17, 1928, the son of Clarence William and Lena (Vallender) Moss. He graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1947. Clarence married Lila Geraldine Keely of Flint on November 27, 1949 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Flint. Lila passed away on June 29, 2005.

After graduating from high school, CW worked for Buick Motor Company for twelve years before joining Citizens Bank as a teller in 1959. Before retiring from the bank, he managed numerous branch offices and worked in many other departments of the bank. CW was a "car lover," and he enjoyed square dancing and square dance calling with Lila. He played football and baseball at Flint Northern, and played baseball and hockey well into his adult years. CW enjoyed all sports, but was particularly fond of hockey. CW was a member of the Episcopalian faith.

He is survived by two sons; David (Pam) Moss of Flint and Bruce (Jennifer Thebo) Moss of Alma. CW was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Virginia Lokkins.
