Claudia Howard

Claudia A. Howard, age 88, of Elsie, MI, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Claudia was born in Elsie, MI on June 22, 1932, the daughter of Reginald and Gertrude (Stiff) Conklin. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1950.  On June 30, 1951, Claudia married Alton L. Howard in Elsie, MI; Alton died April 9, 2000. Claudia was a homemaker and a member of the Elsie United Methodist Church. She resided her entire life in Elsie, MI.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Rosella and Don Lloyd of Elsie, MI, and Regene Darling of Elsie, MI; 2 granddaughters: Tina Marie & Phil Collins of Roscommon, MI, and Jennifer Sue and Kyle Thornton of Elsie, MI; 2 grandsons: Chris and Tracie Darling of Elsie, MI, and Wesley J. and Chelsea Darling Allendale, MI; 8 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Olyvia, Austin, Isaiah and Elijah Darling, Katie, Brooklyn Thornton and Ben Collins.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband, granddaughter Lisa Marie Lloyd, sister Barbara Meiser and son-in-law David Darling.
