Clement Thelen

Clement U. Thelen died on May 1, 2011 at the age of 74. Born August 16, 1936, the son of Edward and Clotilda (Miller) Thelen. Clement married Josephine Martin on January 17, 1959 in Westphalia Michigan and she survives him. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish in Fowler, as well as the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and the VFW Post # 3733.

Along with his wife, Clement is survived by daughters, Cheryl (Paul) Pung, LuAnn (Gary) Schneider, sons, Kurt (Janell) and Joel (Debra) Thelen, grandchildren, Derek, Ryan, Lee and Brent Pung, Scott and Eric (Courtney) Schneider, Nicole (Kevin) Long, Gwen (Lucas) Hevel, Rachel (Domic) Feldpausch, Tonya, Andrea, Mitchel, Jarrid, Sabrina and Brice Thelen, great grandchildren, Canden, Carly and Brynlee Schneider, Porter, Madison and Taylor Long and Colt Hevel. Clement is also survived by sisters, Evelyn (Eugene) Thelen, Ermaline Fedewa, brothers, Eugene (Margret) and Kenneth (Char) Thelen, and brother-in-law, Roman Feldpausch.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Michelle Schneider, sisters, Marina, Julie (Norbert), Doloris (Dick) and brothers, Melvin (Mary), Leonard (Rose) and Louis (Monica).

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler, with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. Burial will follow mass at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with rosaries being prayed at 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 and 8 p.m. Wednesday with a scripture service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Goerge Chapel of The Osgood Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of his family's choice.
