Cliff was born in St. Charles, Michigan on September 26, 1930, the son of Gordon and Lillie (Warrichait) Clark.  He graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1948.  Cliff proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955.  He was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.   On September 20, 1951, Cliff married Carol Jean Bennett in Lansing, MI.  They were blessed with 70 years of marriage and six children prior to her passing on November 15, 2021.

He grew up on the family farm.  He continued farming while he worked for Buick.  He and Carol spent winters in St. Cloud, Florida where he loved to play shuffle board, cards, and fish.  They enjoyed many fishing and camping trips to Merrill Lake with their best friends Bud & Mona Jean.  They also loved trips to the casino with his sisters: Ruth and Doris, and Carol's brother Paul and his wife Sally.  Cliff loved his family and faithfully attended his grandchildren's sporting events.  He was an avid Euchre player and Detroit Tigers fan to the end.  As Cliff would say, "I have had a good life."

He is survived by six children: Debbie (Gary) Rivest, Brenda Thomas, Laurie Linman, Paula (Steve) Schreiner, Carrie (Jeff) Houska, and Dennis (Dawn) Clark; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren, one sister Ruth Honaman and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, one brother Jim (Kathryn) Clark, two sisters: Doris (Arland) Honaman and Betty Clark; brother-in-law Gerald Honaman, and special friends Bud & Mona Jean Allen.
