Clova Silvernail

Clova C. Silvernail, age 80, of Palmetto, Florida, formerly of Owosso, Michigan died on Monday, April 12th, 2010 at Manatee Hospital in Palmetto, Florida. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, Michigan on Monday, April 19th at 3:00 P.M. Pastor Beverly Adcock will officiate and burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1-3 PM. at the funeral home.

Clova was born in Owosso, Michigan on August 10, 1929, the daughter of Frank and Ermyl (Rowley) Curtis. She was married to Lyle R. Silvernailand he preceded her in death. Clova resided most of her life in Owosso, spending the past 25 years in Florida. She retired from Globe Union in Owosso after 25 years of service. She enjoyed bingo, square dancing, and her two dogs Fifi and Katie.

Survivors include her 4 sons: Gary and Lucille Irons of Pontiac, MI, David and Elaine Irons of Sarasota, FL, Robert Irons of Bradenton, FL, Terry Irons of Florida; brother in law Lee James Irons of Owosso, MI; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a niece Vicki and Ty Beebe of Lapeer, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Gaylord, and 3 sisters Bonnie Irons, Glecia Spillance, Cletus Waldron.


Memorials may be made to Shiawassee County Humane Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel , Owosso, MI Owosso, Michigan.
