Cody D. Schultz, age 40, of Bannister, MI passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI. after a 13 year battle with cancer.
A Private Family Service will be held.
Cody was born in Alma, Michigan on January 21, 1970, the son of William Robert and Marilyn Jean (Mulligan) Schultz. He resided most of his life in the Ovid Elsie area. Cody married Carleen Peterson on July 12, 1997 in Interlochen, MI. Cody was an avid guitar player and loved to teach others. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Cody had an appreciation for remodeling older model trucks. He worked as a Direct Care Specialist, computer repair and farming.
He is survived by his wife Carleen Schultz of Bannister, MI, 2 daughters; Ashley and Emily Schultz, mother Marilyn Schultz of Elsie, MI, 2 brothers; William and Jerri Schultz of Perry, MI, Kevin and Margaret Schultz of Ovid, MI, 4 sisters; Lena Alchin of Williamston, MI, Faith and Don Laviolette of Merrill, MI, Sandra and Nathan Richmond of Elsie, MI, Charlyn Schultz of Elsie, MI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Raymond Schultz and brother-in-law Tracey Alchin.
