Coleta Stearns

Coleta Grace Stearns died, January 11, 2012, at the age of 105. She was born in Pompeii, Michigan on October 27, 1906, the daughter of Claude Orville and Allie Annette (Peet) Davis. Coleta married Hubert J. Stearns on April 8, 1933 and he preceded her in death January 23, 1995. She loved to do daily crossword puzzles.

She is survived by two sons, Lloyd (Janet) Stearns of Saline and Duane Stearns of Grand Rapids, four grandchildren, Claudette (Steven) Weaver of Dexter, Michael (Marie) Stearns of Grand Rapids, Lisa (Brian) Lancaster of Jenison and Sharleen Stearns of Milan, six great grandchildren, Sarah and Spencer Weaver, Amelie and Nathan Stearns and Tyler and Jake Lancaster. In addition to her husband, Coleta was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Susan Brososky, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Stearns and brother, Aubrey Davis.

Funeral Services will be, 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Osgood Funeral Home, burial at Union Home Cemetery with Rev. Lori Sykes officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 9 a.m. till 12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
